DAY 01

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport. Collect your hired car and drive to your hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN A HOTEL NEAR THE WATERFRONT OR ON THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD

DAY 02

After breakfast, visit world-famous Table Mountain (weather permitting), Cape Town city centre, including the Castle of the Cape of Good Hope, museums, the Bo-Kaap (Malay Quarter) and Houses of Parliament. Then on to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront where you can enjoy markets, shops, the Imax Theatre, a harbour tour, or take a Catamaran trip to the famous Robben Island to view President Mandela’s former prison and other historic sites.

DAY 03

After breakfast, visit the world-renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, home to some 6 000 different species of flora. Proceed to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point, boasting some of the country’s richest floral heritage. Stop at the beautiful Boulders Beach en route, which is home to the only Jackass penguin colony in the Cape Peninsula. At Cape Point you can enjoy scenic walks or take the funicular to the lookout point for a panoramic view. Alternatively, visit Hout Bay and board a boat to Seal Island, or visit the World of Birds. Drive along the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard via Llandudno, Camps Bay and Sea Point.

DAY 04

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to either Hermanus, Gansbaai, Arniston or De Hoop Area. All are popular towns close to the world’s best land-based whale watching destinations. Enjoy the scenic beauty of these areas, as well as the mild climate and a range of outdoor attractions.

OVERNIGHT IN HERMANUS, GANSBAAI, ARNISTON OR DE HOOP NATURE RESERVE .

DAY 05

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to either Hermanus, Gansbaai, Arniston or De Hoop Area. All are popular towns close to the world’s best land-based whale watching destinations. Enjoy the scenic beauty of these areas, as well as the mild climate and a range of outdoor attractions.

OVERNIGHT IN HERMANUS, GANSBAAI, ARNISTON OR DE HOOP NATURE RESERVE .

DAY 06

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Cape Town Airport. Return the hired car. Fly from Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport or Hoedspruit Airport. A representative from a private game lodge will meet and transfer you to the lodge. Enjoy a late afternoon / evening game drive and return to a congenial dinner at the lodge.

DAY 07

Experience an exhilarating early morning game drive before a late breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a guided bush walk in the reserve, returning for lunch. Afternoon / evening game drive is followed by dinner.

DAY 08

After an early morning game drive and an enjoyable breakfast you will be transferred back to Hoedspruit or Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. Collect a hired car and drive to Pilgrims Rest, Kiepersol, Hazyview or White River area to overnight at accommodation of your choice.

OVERNIGHT NEAR PILGRIMS REST, KIEPERSOL, SABIE, HAZYVIEW OR WHITE RIVER AREA

DAY 09

After breakfast, visit the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, Robbers’ Pass and Lone Creek Falls. Experience the charms of a bygone era and a world of infinite curiosity. If time permits, visit the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, the unusually weathered Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window.

OVERNIGHT IN NEAR PILGRIM’S REST, KIEPERSOL, SABIE, HAZYVIEW OR WHITE RIVER AREA

DAY 10

After breakfast, drive to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (approximately a 65 km drive). Return hired car. Fly from Kruger Mpumalanga to O R Tambo International Airport for your flight back home.
