Explore KZN and the beauty of Mpumalanga

DAY 01

Arrive at O R Tambo International Airport and collect a hired car. Drive from Johannesburg Airport to the Midlands or Drakensberg region (approximately a 470 km drive). The Midlands area is well known for its arts and crafts route and the Drakensberg region for its meandering rivers, breathtaking waterfalls and magnificent scenery.

OVERNIGHT IN THE DRAKENSBERG OR THE KWAZULU-NATAL MIDLANDS

DAY 02

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Midlands Meander or go hiking in the Drakensberg area.

DAY 03

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Rorke�s Drift. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Rorke�s Drift, a site where the highest number of Victorian Crosses were awarded to a small band of soldiers.

DAY 04

After breakfast, visit the battlefields of Isandlwana revealing the bravery and mobility of the Zulu army in its defeat of the British.

DAY 05

After breakfast, depart the battlefields area for Mkuze, or The Elephant Coast area situated in the north of KwaZulu-Natal. Activities include exciting elephant and rhino excursions, game drives, boat cruises and fishing.

DAY 06

An early morning game drive precedes a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a guided bush walk. Enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge until the late afternoon / evening game drive which is followed by dinner.

OVERNIGHT IN THE MKUZE/ PONGOLA AREA OR ALONG THE ELEPHANT COAST

DAY 07

After an early breakfast, depart and travel via Barberton to Mpumalanga (approximately a 550km drive). Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy a guided walk, or a late afternoon drive, followed by dinner.

OVERNIGHT AT A GUESTHOUSE IN MPUMALANGA

DAY 08

After breakfast, either explore the wonders of the White River/Hazyview area including Bourke�s Luck Potholes and God�s Window or alternatively spend the day enjoying spa treatments, bird viewing, horse riding and scenic walks.

OVERNIGHT AT A GUESTHOUSE IN MPUMALANGA

DAY 09

After breakfast, depart for a private game lodge in Mpumalanga or Limpopo. Enjoy a late afternoon/evening game drive followed by a congenial dinner at the lodge.

DAY 10

An early morning game drive precedes a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a guided bush walk until Lunch is served. Late afternoon drive followed by dinner.

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, drive to Dullstroom to enjoy the exceptional beauty of the eastern highlands.

After breakfast, return to Johannesburg Airport for your return flight home.
