Shed the fast pace and din of the city and escape to someplace serene. A short getaway – even just a night or two over a weekend – works wonders to refresh body and mind and bring a fresh spurt of life. Another great choice near Franschhoek is Cathbert Country Inn, anchored on the slopes of the Simonsberg. It’s perfect for a cosy couple-getaway – very quiet and tranquil, and totally undemanding. Dinners are a real spoil.
Spa-lovers will be in their element at the Lanzerac Hotel and Spa in Stellenbosch. Get pampered endlessly at the impressive spa and wellnes centre, and explore the maginificent Stellenbosch Wine Route which lies right at your feet. Wine tastings and cellar tours are also offered at the hotel.
