DAY 01

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, collect your hired car and drive to your selected hotel. Settle in, and consider a spa treatment to refresh you for your stay in magical Cape Town.

Explore the spendid Cape Peninsula, including some of the following highlights: the pretty harbour village of Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak Drive, Noordhoek Beach, Cape Point, the penguin colony at Boulders Beach in the naval town of Simons Town, and the quaint harbour village of Kalk Bay (a good lunch stop).

DAY 03

A visit to Cape Town is never complete without a trip up Table Mountain where the views are simply glorious. Take the cable car up to the summit, weather permitting. Thereafter take a fantastically scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard via the red carpet coastal suburbs of Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton, to enjoy the several pristine beaches along this impressive coastal stretch. Cape Town has superb nightlife: make your choice of entertainments.

DAY 04

Spend the day visiting sites of interest in and around the city, or go shark-cage diving, or stroll through the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Another option is to visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Do some shopping there, catch a meal or a movie, or take a boat tour to Robben Island.

DAY 05

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and drive to the winelands town of  Franschhoek (about 72 km). Explore the wonderful town which is famed for its many outstanding eateries, and visit some of the beautiful wine estates in this region.

DAY 06

Spend the day doing a wine tour and tasting in Franschhoek, or follow the Rond & Bont Route of local attractions, or travel a little further afield to the winelands of Stellenbosch (about 28 km) for a cellar tour and tasting at one of its prestigious estates, followed by a terrace lunch under ancient oaks.

DAY 07

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and return to Cape Town International Airport (about 72 km), to fly to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. On arrival you will be transferred by road to the Kruger National Park for your luxury safari. Settle in at your selected lodge and stand by for your first guided safari drive in the late afternoon, returning after dark to enjoy a dinner feast with other guests.

OVERNIGHT AT A PRIVATE LODGE IN THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

DAY 08

Start the day with an early morning 4×4 drive to enjoy the sights of the wilderness at dawn. Spend several hours in the bush with your guide, and return to a late breakfast spread. Spend the rest of the day at leisure – perhaps including a guided foot safari. The second game drive departs after afternoon tea. Stop for a sundowner in the bush, and return to the lodge for dinner after nightfall.

DAY 09

Following your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Johannesburg (about 460 km), where you will check in at your hotel. Enjoy a reviving spa treatment after several hours on the road, followed by a fine dinner at your hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN JOHANNESBURG

DAY 10

After breakfast you will be collected at your hotel for a private tour of Soweto. Private transfer to take you to OR Tambo International Airport for your flight home.
