Close to Nature: Tanda Tula's Overnight Walking Safaris

This is your chance to snuggle in close to nature under Africa’s big starry sky. Tanda Tula Safari Lodge has launched a luxury overnight walking safari – the first of its kind in the Timbavati. The overnight walking safari allows you to get a taste of what the very first explorers to Africa might have experienced, except here you have it laced with a good bit of luxury.

Your walking safari at Tanda Tula will be designed with your particular needs in mind. A four-night safari package is what your hosts recommend – two nights at Tanda Tula Safari Camp and two nights in the bush at the Machaton Hide.

Your day in the bush will begin very freshly with an invigorating shower outdoors. Steaming coffee and rusks will be a welcome follow-on, before setting off on a game walk.  You can expect to walk for about 10 or 12 kilometres each day, during which you will track animals, watch birds and appreciate the spectacular Timbavati bushveld. All this in the company and good care of one of Tanda Tula’s most qualified guides and a veteran tracker.
