De Hoop Nature Reserve is an ecological treasure of marine reserve, dunes, vlei, and rare fauna and flora. Accommodation ranges from luxury catered accommodation in the historic Opstal Manor House, to self-catered cottages and rondawels in a variety of settings and variously configured. The beautiful Melkkamer Manor and cottages are set a good distance away from other accommodation and provide an extra measure of seclusion. Self-catering guests have the luxury of being able to choose to book dinner at the restaurant.
