About Fugitives’ Drift
Fugitives’ Drift is an award-winning destination acclaimed for its battlefield tours to Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift. Started by Nicky and the late David Rattray in 1989, this is a world-class experience of heritage tourism featuring battlefield tours, horse riding, mountain biking and game walks. The Lodge and Guest House are situated on the site of the Fugitives’ Drift, in a 5 000-acre Natural Heritage Site and nature reserve. Both provide luxurious en-suite cottages with private verandahs and views over the plains flanking the Buffalo River Gorge. Umzinyathi is a 3-bedroom self-catering farmhouse, ideal for families wanting a self-sufficient holiday in a pristine natural environment.
