Babylonstoren
About Babylonstoren
Babylonstoren is a charming and exquisitely preserved Cape farm dating back to 1692. Set amid vineyards, orchards and extraordinary gardens in the Drakenstein Valley, the sophisticated farm hotel invites guests to enjoy the entire farm and its modern spa and gym. At the heart of the farm is a one-of-its-kind garden spanning all of 8 acres and supplying the well-known restaurant Babel, and the garden gem The Greenhouse. Guest suites echo historic Cape Dutch farm buildings, with characteristic whitewashed walls, gables and thatched roofs. The Farmhouse Suites and the Fynbos Cottages are the newest accommodation offerings, the latter adjoining the vineyards and orchards. The farm is a paradise for the senses: do the legendary garden tour and tea ritual, enjoy idyllic surroundings whilst rowing on the dam, visit The Tasting Room to sample Babylonstoren wines, meet farm animals, fish for trout at the farm dam, and walk or cycle on the farm. For groups and families wanting a totally private stay, the Fynbos Family House is an exquisite 5-bedroomed sole-use offering for up to ten guests.
