Makakatana Bay Lodge is a fabulous nature escape set in dune forest on the banks of Lake St Lucia, within the natural wonderland of iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site. The area offers unspoiled beaches, vast wetlands and pristine wilderness areas. Guests enjoy game drives in the surrounding reserve, as well as unforgettable boat cruises on the estuary, extraordinary beach trips and day-safaris in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve. Designed for relaxation and comfort, the main lodge is the heart of Makakatana, with meals served on a wraparound deck or at the boma. Eight luxury rooms include family accommodation and a honeymoon suite. All are gorgeous retreats, secluded along timber walkways in a forest.
