Makumu Private Game Lodge

Makumu Private Game Lodge is an intimate safari haven in the vast, ‘Big Five’ Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. This is one of the largest privately owned nature reserves in South Africa, spanning some 60 000 hectares and forming part of the greater Kruger National Park. The lodge stands on a hill, granting unhindered views over the bushveld. Six luxurious suites inspired by the tribes of Africa accommodate a maximum of twelve guests and ensure a blend of comfort, style and privacy. A unique 'floating' boma is set high above the Leopard River and the plains - a wonderful location for candlelit dinners, stargazing and campfire conversation. Other guest facilities include a swimming pool, outdoor fitness area, and leisure and games areas. Open-vehicle safaris depart in the early morning and again in the late afternoon, and in between these adventures guests also have the option to track game on foot, visit the photographic bunker to be at eye level with animals visiting the waterhole, and enjoy massage treatments.  Mail us.   Children: 8+ Years.
