The ‘Boomslang’ Centenary Tree Canopy Walk is a wonderful way of enjoying 360 degree views of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, Cape Town. The 130 m long walkway is a curved steel and timber bridge weaving through and above the Arboretum. The walkway was inspired by a snake skeleton – hence its nickname ‘The Boomslang’ (tree snake). Do include it during your visit to Kirstenbosch, and sit a minute on the bench at the highest point to drink in the gorgeous views. The Arboretum is situated between the Protea Garden, Cycad Amphitheatre, the Dell, Mathews Rockery and the Concert Lawn.
