Choose one of several exciting routes on Rovos Rail, varying in duration from 48 hours to nine days or more. 48-hour Routes between Pretoria and Cape Town give visitors stunning views of the country, from the grasslands of the Highveld to the vast open spaces of the Great Karoo and the majestic mountains and winelands of the Cape.
The 9-day trip goes from Pretoria through a full range of game drive stops, the highest mountains in the Drakensberg, Elephant Parks, Ostrich farms and the scenic Garden Route on its way to Cape Town.

The Suites
Expect all the luxury you would enjoy when staying in a superb hotel. Decorated in handsome wood panelling with period Edwardian features, air-conditioned suites come in three varieties, each able to accommodate two people and offering the option of twin or spacious double beds. Spacious and elegant, Royal Suites take up half a carriage each with their own private lounge area and full bathroom with Victorian bath and separate shower. The Deluxe Suites include a lounge area and en-suite bathroom with shower, and the Pullman Suites – also with en-suite bathroom and shower – are equipped with a comfortable sofa-seat which can convert into double or twin beds for the evening. One of the best things about Rovos Rail is allowing the rhythm of the train to lull you to sleep at night!
