Zambezi Queen is a unique and unforgettable 5-star holiday experience on a floating hotel on Africa’s great Chobe River. Embark on this once-in-a-lifetime luxury houseboat experience for an incomparable river safari holiday in a remote wilderness location situated between Namibia and Botswana.
The Zambezi Queen Experience
You arrive at Zambezi Queen after a short boat transfer from the Kasane Immigration Office in Botswana. Once you have boarded Zambezi Queen, you will enjoy a one-of-a-kind safari – the kind that allows you to watch wildlife from the comfort of your bed, should you so choose! You could very likely wake up to the sight of elephant drinking at the river.
The Zambezi Queen is 42 metres in length and has fourteen elegant suites, as well as bar, lounge and dining facilities. All the suites are air-conditioned and have a private balcony overlooking Chobe River and the wilderness beyond.
The houseboat navigates about 25 km of the Chobe River, weather permitting. The experience includes magnificent river safaris and sunset cruises by tender boat; birding; tiger or bream fishing; fabulous wildlife sightings on the banks of the Chobe National Park from the vantage point of the boat, including some of the 120 000 elephants for which Chobe is well known. In order to enjoy all of these experiences, a 3-night stay is recommended.
Chobe Princesses
The Chobe Princesses are smaller houseboats accommodating fewer guests than Zambezi Queen. The smaller vessels give you a more intimate river safari. The wonder of wildlife sightings is, of course, every bit as good as on Zambezi Queen.
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge
This is a tented safari camp tucked away on Impalila Island in Namibia, and just right if you would also like to have your feet on terra firma in a beautiful location where wildlife is abundant. From the lodge you can experience all the wonders of Chobe from the Namibian side of the river. This is a secluded land-spot in which to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of an African river safari.
