DAY 01
Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport, collect your hired car and drive towards Sun City and the Pilanesberg National Park. Set in the rocky crater of a long-extinct volcano, the Pilanesberg is a malaria-free region where almost all the mammals of South Africa can be seen, along with the Big Five safari celebrities.

DAY 02
Do some game viewing in the Pilanesberg National Park, or get a birds-eye-view of the park by taking a trip in a hot air balloon. You could also visit nearby Sun City – a hugely impressive complex of glitzy hotels, offering grand nightlife and top-of-the-range sporting and recreational facilities – two world-class golf courses included.

DAY 03
After breakfast, check out of the hotel / lodge and head towards the quaint hamlet of Dullstroom in the Highlands of Mpumalanga. This is approximately a 300-400 km drive. The area offers, horse riding, mountain rambles, fishing and plenty of country quietude.

DAY 04
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart Dullstroom for Hoedspruit Airport (approximately a 280-380 km drive). Return hired car. A representative from a private game lodge will meet you and transfer you to your lodge of choice. Enjoy a late afternoon/evening game drive and the special event of sundowners in the bush, before returning to a dinner feast at the lodge.

DAY 05
An early morning game drive precedes a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a guided bush walk. Enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge until the late afternoon / evening game drive, returning for dinner.

DAY 06
After the early morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport. Collect a hired car and visit some of the scenic spots for which Mpumalanga is well known. There’s the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, the unusually weathered Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the magnificently scenic God’s Window. Arrive in the late afternoon at a country guesthouse.

DAY 07
After breakfast, visit the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, a beautifully preserved legacy of the early gold rush era. Robbers’ Pass and Lone Creek Falls are among the scenic attractions of the region.

DAY 08
After breakfast, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and fly to East London. Collect a hired car and drive to Cintsa East on the rugged Wild Coast (about 35km). The Wild Coast of Southern Africa is unspoiled and exquisitely beautiful. It’s one of the precious gems of the Eastern Cape, and offers year-round beauty and seasonal sardine runs, dolphin and whale watching. It’s also tops for fishing.
DAY 09
Spend the day exploring the area, and enjoying white sandy beaches. Get some pampering at a Thai Wellness Centre that also offers yoga and meditation.
DAY 10
After breakfast, check out and drive to the beautiful Garden Route (about 580 km). The Garden Route is a coastal stretch of about 200 km – considered one of the world’s most scenic coastal zones – between the mouth of the Storm River and Mossel Bay. It includes the well-known resort towns of Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Wilderness.
DAY 11
Explore an area jam-packed with beauty. Idyllic beaches are framed by majestic mountain ranges, there are dense forests, mirrored lagoons and picturesque rivers. Animal sanctaries, hiking trails, lagoon cruises, adventure sports and ocean adventures are among your many options.
DAY 12
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for a scenic drive to the Winelands area (approximately a 500 km drive). South Africa’s wine country is a must-see world of sprawling estates and historic gabled farmsteads – many of them centuries old – where world-class wines are produced and first-rate hospitality is on tap. There are a number of key wine-producing regions, each with its own wine route.

DAY 13
After breakfast, spend the morning exploring one of the surrounding wine estates before proceeding to Cape Town. Visit Table Mountain (weather permitting) or the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, or take a Catamaran trip to Robben Island.

DAY 14
After breakfast, visit the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, home to some 6 000 different species of flora. Proceed to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point, a place of the most breathtaking scenery. Stop en route at the beautiful Boulders Beach which is home to the only Jackass penguin colony in the Cape Peninsula. Or drive along the magnificent Atlantic Seaboard to Llandudno, Camps Bay and Sea Point.

DAY 15
After breakfast, visit the Constantia Winelands, featuring some of the Cape’s oldest wine estates, or explore the quaint fishing village of Kalk Bay and the naval village of Simons Town.
