DAY 01
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport. Collect your hired car and drive to your hotel in South Africa’s oldest city. OVERNIGHT IN A CAPE TOWN HOTEL

DAY 02
After breakfast, visit world-famous Table Mountain (weather permitting) and take the high-tech cable car up to the summit. Or explore Cape Town city centre, including the Castle of the Cape of Good Hope dating back to the 17th century, various museums, the Company’s Gardens, and the colourful Bo-Kaap (Malay Quarter). Then on to the trendy Victoria and Alfred Waterfront where you can enjoy markets, shops, a harbour tour, or take a Catamaran trip to Robben Island to view Nelson Mandela’s former prison and other historic sites. DAY 03
After breakfast, visit the world-renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, home to some 6 000 different species of flora. Then head for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point, boasting some of the country’s richest floral heritage. Stop at the beautiful Boulders Beach en route, which is home to the only Jackass penguin colony in the Cape Peninsula. At Cape Point you can enjoy scenic walks or take the funicular to the lookout point for a panoramic view. Alternatively, visit Hout Bay and board a boat to Seal Island, or take a tour of the local township. Drive along the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard via Llandudno, Camps Bay and Sea Point. DAY 04
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to either Gansbaai, Arniston or De Hoop Nature Reserve. All are popular and close to the world’s best land-based whale watching destinations. Enjoy the scenic beauty of these areas, as well as the mild climate and a range of outdoor attractions. Gansbaai is a small coastal town not far from Hermanus, boasting spectacular cliffs at De Kelders and the long white sandy beaches. It’s the Great White Shark capital of the world, and offers phenomenal land-based whale watching. Cape fynbos and milkwood forests are part of the beauty of this area. Arniston is an attractive fishing village, popular amongst artists because of its quaint fishermen’s cottages, beautiful turquoise seas and massive white sand dunes. De Hoop Nature Reserve is situated east of Bredasdorp, approximately 260 km from Cape Town. About 34 000 ha in size, this large marine-protected area is a wonderful destination for whale watching, hiking, cycling, bird watching and snokeling. DAY 05
Day at leisure to relax on the beaches nearby or explore the charming seaside towns, including Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. A large red and white striped lighthouse stands at Cape Agulhas to alert ships to the strong currents that have resulted in numerous shipwrecks along this perilous stretch of coast. DAY 06
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to the Winelands area (approximately a 100 km drive). Visit the wine route of Stellenbosch, renowned for its many centuries-old wine estates and high quality table wines. Stellenbosch rests in one of the first valleys to have been settled in South Africa, and the town itself is an architectural gem, with magnificently preserved examples of Cape-Dutch architecture as part of its heritage. DAY 07
Drive to the neighbouring winelands town of Franschhoek, a town also rich in cultural and historic heritage and is also studded with trendy eateries and upmarket shopping emporiums. The Rond en Bont Route highlighting local activities and talent is a recent addition to the town’s many sightseeing attractions. OVERNIGHT IN FRANSCHHOEK

DAY 08
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to the Cederberg area (approximately a 400 km drive). This is a region celebrated for its rugged towering mountains, brilliant purple and orange sunsets and valleys of citrus orchards fragrant with orange blossom in springtime.  Enjoy a scrumptious high tea at your overnight destination before leaving for a late afternoon nature drive. DAY 09
An early morning nature walk precedes a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a treatment at the health spa, which also offers treatements outdoors in the rugged embrace of nature. DAY 10
After an early morning nature drive and breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive back to Cape Town.
